Watch her

by brown eyes and a melancholy smile   Nov 19, 2005

Watch her

She sits in class, words pass over her desk,
She sits there quietly crying, you ignore her mess.
You look the other way, and pretend that all is well,
Don't lend a caring hand, it'll lead you straight to Hell.

She's rotting in her loneliness, her soul is stone dead,
Her eyes are windows to her mind, interpreting the unsaid.
She sits there expressionless, but her eyes say it all,
She's pleading, begging for your help, you ignore her call.

You watch her slowly die, her bleeding heart bleeds love,
You watch her staring hopelessly, her life has proved too tough.
See those slits on her wrists? They're from self-hate,
Watch her trudge aimlessly, please help her it's not too late!

But the days of nothing take its toll, happiness runs dry,
Her soul battered, aching, her life's an empty shell of lies.
She had dreams she was loved, but something went wrong,
Her life has been all tears, broken hopes and fears, she's been crying for too long.

The tiny spec of hopeful light has nearly run its course,
She's about to end a wasted life, filled with sorrow and remorse.
She's sorry, so sorry, for all the hurt, the pain, the waste,
See her climb those stairs, welcome death, save her, make haste!

You feel her hair, you breath her scent, but she's falling from the ledge.
You watch her body shatter and break, you watch crimson seep from her head.
Don't be sorry, for all is well, her soul is finally free,
She is in a better place, she'll sleep for eternity.
