I never got to say good-bye

Something so good, something so perfect is now broken
A love that was meant to last forever has fallen apart
The misery and pain he feels is unimaginable
Her souless body lies there still
He touches her face, but distance is all he feels
She was once his love, but now is forever gone
He would die just to hear her voice again
That soft, heart-felt angelic voice
That once told him he was her everything
Her friend, her companion, her one and only shooting star
The warm summer nights will never be the same
Walking down the beach will now only be a memory lane
The laughter, the joy, the good times they shared together
All of those things are now but memories
Everything they once had is now gone forever
Tears roll down his cheeks as her voice runs through his head
He would regret to forget the beauty of her face
Her soft lips, and silky brown hair
And those crystal blue eyes that brought light to his life
Now that her yes are closed, the light has vanished
The same thought keeps running through his mind,
"I never got to say good-bye"
