Ms. Independent

Yes, I'm an Independent Woman.
I can make it.
You said you loved me.
Then why did you insist on hurting me?
All I ever did was Cherish you.
But you knocked me down 'cause you said
I was to tall for you.
Well what is that about?
I'm independent, and i don't need you.
I can learn from your disgrace.
The funny thing is they'll all laugh at your silly face!
'Cause yeah I told them about you.
Your constant need to feel superior than me.
Not that it mattered 'cause you will never be!
Come on now, don't be mad.
Does it upset you? That i can,
possibly make it without you?
Well, I can I am a woman you see.
This you must by now understand.
What's that, you wanna know again,
why I left you after all those years?
Well let's take a minute, and rewind.
Back to the old times...
Hmm the only thing I see from yester year,
Is a broken heart and wasted years filled of tears.
Why I was with you then.
I still do not yet know that answer.
But I will never be again.
I will not let myself make such a stupid mistake again!
You here me now? 'Cause I'm tired, just plain tired of worthless men like you.
You're nothing to me. You are a whack stack of lies.
I'm a girl, but I am still stronger than you'll ever be.
See I'm strong willed and smart.
Just 'cause you built don't mean shit boy!
What, you think you a man? Why?
'Cause you can hit a girl? Knock her to the floor. Maybe bust up her lip a bit.
Does that uplift your confidence?
'Cause to me it just makes you an uncouth coward.
So just shut your mouth.
It's your turn to take a beating.
All us independent woman will get guys like you.
We'll no longer sit back and let some wizened man control us.
You may be bigger, but we all know who's smarter.
