Life and Death

by Samey   Nov 21, 2005

You're so two faced they blend together,
No one can tell where you end and it starts,
The cuts on your arms are the proof of its existence,
The shame you kept hidden inside grew into an ugly ghost,
It haunts you, drives you into insanity,
Till you overflow with pain and anger,
Crying on the bathroom floor,
Pulling at the incisions on your wrist,
While they scream your worthlessness,
Parents filled with disappointment at the shell of a daughter,
Friends packed with hate at your perfect life,
And strangers overflowing with jealousy at your beauty,
For such a perfect being you're so incomplete,
Imperfection stains your soul with the blood shed from yesterday,
Death hollows your eyes and comforts your heart,
Whisper goodbye to the sweat sorrow known as life.
