Tempted and tried

I guess everyone has to search
for that someone at one time
Regardless of all the failures
and Lord knows I've had mind
It can sometimes be frustrating
like a never ending dream
Or like a leaf in troubled waters
flowing swiftly down a stream

As you open up one door
seeking what you need to find
Without the closure of another
seems your always left behind
Even when your sometimes close
it seems to all fade away
So you take another step forward
like you take another day

When you think you may have found
someone special and you know
Hold on to them forever
and never let them go
Regardless of all the pain
it may sometimes bring in stride
That could be the last door
where your not tempted and tried
