SHE CAN'T HOLD ON

by vviirrgg   Nov 22, 2005

( this was for english class we did a protest poem so i did myne bout racism- not how i feel or anything)
She'll try not to notice the way you look at her
As she passes you by int he hall
Your glares are sharper than a knife
In her very own skin, she feels so insecure
Everyday she has to hide behind a wall
The look in your eyes will follow her for the rest of her life
She is a normal human just like everyone
But no, you treat her like she is worthless
She can never go out and just have fun
Your hate causes enough destruction to make a mess
Why do you have to be so racist?
Do you not have any feelings?
Every night she picks up the blade to cut her wrist
As she lies on her bed looking up at the ceilings
She cannot take this pain any longer
If only she could become stronger
