The bridges along the road

by ~Patiently Waiting~   Nov 22, 2005

Life is just a long and winding road,
With bridges along the way,
They can only hold a certain load,
And they might all fall down one day.
But the gravel that leads us to the fall,
Is the most overlooked of all,
Because if you stop to look and call,
You will see the details upon the walls.
There are little things that are put to the side,
Which stay to rest and hide,
But if you just care to use your eyes,
You can get rid of all the lies.
If you are too blind to see the grass,
And the other things in which we have passed,
Then you dont have many stories to give,
Because you cant see the most important things that we live.
There are other roads and avenues that pass us by,
And other secrets places in the sky,
The rainbows along the road have more then pots of gold,
Like things in which cannot be sold.
The things we cannot see,
Things like rights to be happy and free.
We cannot grab the air,
Although we breath it in,
We cant see it but its there,
Whether it comes thick or thin.
When we come across a hill,
We cannot stand still,
We can cross as long as we try,
If we cant walk it we will fly.
No waterfall could be deep enough,
Too steep, dark or rough,
To make it impossible for us to climb,
Use your heart and the top you will find.
Money isnt success,
Because happiness is best,
And cash cannot bring joy,
More like girls and boys.
Our friends and family,
Seen along the road as trees.
Which ever way you put it,
Your life, a road, or whatever fits.
Whatever you do,
Whatever life gives to you,
Enjoy it all,
And dont let the bridge fall.
