Love's death

I pray the lord
my soul to keep
as i lay
in my grave so deep

my life soon ended
before it began
all because
he didn't understand

i love him
with all my heart
but all he wanted
was for a good friendship to start

when he told me
"friends thats all"
i cried
and curled up on the floor

then i realized
my life is over
all i wanted was for him to love me

but now the blade slits
one two three four
rage builds up the pain i ignore
blood splatters on my note

blade now at my throat

neck now cut
theres no turning back
i place the note on my chest as my world turns black

mother came in
stood frozen mouth
open and stared
theres blood everywhere

she reached
for the note that lay on my chest
father walked in
"read it out loud" was his request
