No more Shackles

by Asheliegh   Nov 23, 2005

This is a poem by 1 of my best friends who passed away in \"2004\"

no more shackles on young black boys,
We are tired of being thrown around like old rag toys

We are tired of being harassed by what we call the po-po
we have all been told what are right rights and no-nos

But we still dont listen we still do whats not right
Our lives are slipping sooner or later they\'re going to be out of sight

If we dont catch them we are going to be just another young sold
lost in the world of silver and gold

It could happen, we could have a trusting world only if ppl can drop there egos, which is very unlikely, but if we teach our kids when time comes maybe, just maybe we just might be able to have a good world. Keep it up you are good! and check out mine if you have a chance.
