This weight it brings me down
It’s taken over from within
It’s like something living inside of me
Underneath my skin

It’s there when I mess up
Laughing in my face
Making sure I know whose boss
Keeping me in my place

I can’t look ahead
Too scared of what I’ll find
Running around in circles
Slowly loosing my mind

Deafened by the call
Blinded by what I see
Confused and feeling alone
Paralysed by what cannot be…
