I'm done with it all

I'm done with the cutting
all the tears and all the pain
I'm ready to get my old self back
and be happy once again

I'm ready to laugh and smile
even sing a line to a song
I'm done with all the bad
I'm over everything wrong

I have one scar left so clear
A scar I'll forever bare
It will always mark the end
The end of my life's nightmare

My past will just be a memory
A memory to never live again
A memory of mine to keep
only a memory of my torment and all my pain

I'm ready to flutter my wings
say good bye to all my past
I'm going to smile like never before
I'm done with it all!

    You are right. you don't deserve the pain...no one does... it is time to move on and it will be hard, i've been there. you are now doing the best thing you can for yourself, stoping all this. congats on taking that step. be proud.

    Good poem, i used to cut as well. I have a few scars that will always be with me but i can understand where your poem is coming from.
