The Road

by Sara   Nov 24, 2005

I've walked this road many times before, but this time felt different. As I stared down at the wet pavement watching the reflections of the street lamps in a puddle dance, I couldn't help but think of you. You seemed as gloomy as this road today. The cold wind hit me and sent chills down my spine, the same way you did when you looked at me with those emotionless eyes. As I looked up to the sky i felt the rain start to fall all around me. All the drops reminded me of how much I cried when I realized that you hated me. When I stepped into the house it felt like how it used to be. Your attitude was always happy, and always positive. Your eyes always full of life. And I never let a tear drop from my eyes for you, because with you, life is perfect.
