Gabriel's Dream

by cLumsy   Nov 24, 2005

They say that people are always given
The chance of love, that it will be a God-send
But I wait until the end of time
From Him to send this love of mine

With each love song that I hear
I gaze longingly at the stars, wishing him to come near
Some days I cannot stand to wait forever for him
Waiting this long seemed like a sin

I sigh and stare impatiently at the sky
I bite my lip and think, "What if love's a lie?"
That thought I held, was kept in my mind
It stayed there forever, forever till I died

My heart felt heavy as I crossed from life to death
The thought still stayed on my head, even after my last breath
God measured my good and bad
I looked at Libra in the face, what I saw was sad

Heaven opened its gates for me and confusion gripped my heart
How can I go to Heaven, where my love and I were apart
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Gabriel the Angel, flew down to me
He gave me wings and said silently

I've been watching you, from your birth till now
I've longed for your heart, longed to make a vow
And as pure as his voice could be
My heart turned then, cause his blue eyes stared at me

I've been sending signals of my love to you
I made the stars twinkle in the sky midnight blue
I've begged Fate to have you listen to love songs
So you would know that meeting me wouldn't be too long

At Gabriel's confession my heart swelled with love
I had no idea my love was in the heavens above
My wings and his entwined, I thanked him so deeply
For opening my eyes and for making me see

As our lips touched
Ever so gently
I could feel myself falling
Back to Earth so free...

I blinked my eyes and yawned in a daze
What did I dream, everything was a haze
A sigh escaped my throat, I looked at one lone star
While listening to a love song, I smiled, remembered, and laughed, because I knew you weren't far

It is only natural for fallen angels to love other fallen angels.
