The clock

by Ele   Nov 25, 2005

The clock is ticking
That's all I hear,
Nothing else to keep me company here.
I am alone
As I am every night,
Alone with nobody else in sight.
Cold and alone
Every night in my bed,
Nobody's face beside my head.
I wake up in the morning
As alone as before,
I pray it won't be like this forever more.
