THIS LONELY GIRL

by VALERIE   Nov 26, 2005

SHE WEEPS AND SHE CRIES
YOU CAN SEE IT IN HER EYES
SHE SHAKES AND SHE SHIVERS
YOU CAN TELL BY THE WAY
SHE MOVES
HER MOTHER COMES NEAR
SHE YELLS AND SHE SCREAMS
SAYING ITS HER FAULT
THAT DADDY DIED
BEATEN AND BRUISED
WHAT CAN THIS POOR
LITTLE GIRL DO
SHE CALLS FOR HER DAD
BUT DADDY'S NOT THERE
TO PICK HER UP OFF HER FEET
AND TO TELL HER HE LOVES HER
AND THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING
TO BE ALRIGHT
THIS POOR LONELY GIRL
SITS ON THE CORNER
OF HER STREET
STARRING UP AT THE STARS
PRAYING TO GOD
THAT EVERYTHING
WILL BE OK
ALL ALONE
SHE SITS CRYING TO HERSELF
ASKING WHAT SHE DID WRONG
AND WHAT CAN SHE MAKE RIGHT
CAUSE RIGHT NOW
NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE
ABOUT HER
THE PAIN YOU COULD
SEE IT IN HER FACE
BEATEN AND BRUISED
BY SOMEONE SHE THOUGHT
LOVED HER
NOW SHE THINKS TO HERSELF
AND REALIZES THE ONLY
PERSON THAT REALLY EVER
LOVED HER WAS HER DADDY
