That girl in the shadows

by the love of another fills my soul   Nov 26, 2005

The girl, over there in the shadows, the one everyone sees, but doesn't bother to talk to.The girl who has no friends, does she even have a family? No one knows, because no ones bothered to ask.Everyone can see the scared, tortured abused girl crying. But they're all too afraid to ask if she's OK.Too afraid someone else will think less of them for trying to help.Too afraid to damage their reputation. But while everyone walks by without a glance or a care, the girl is dieing slowly, inside.Because her brother has died.her mother has abandoned her and her father beats her and rapes her. When she goes home at night she cuts herself deep and straight across. If only someone would care,be her friend. But one day unexpectedly someone, an old friend she vaguely remembers apologizes and they become friends again, but then later that night she goes home and her father beats her so bad she nearly dies, so she runs to her room and cuts her self like never before, and then as shes laying there on the verge of death her father, her friend, her mother and the ghost of her brother all around her, begging her forgiveness begging her to hold on. but then , then its to late, because that lonely girl, has died, that girl, the girl in the shadows.

It's good, but the idea of this poem has long been exhausted and it marks no genuine thoughts, but I do like your style, But as far as your story, That girl should learn to like herself before she expects others to like her
