I thought you said you would always be there for me

i thought you said you would ALWAYS be there for me
i thought you said you would always love me
i thought you said you would learn to be a better person
i thought you said you would never let anything happen to me
i thought you said you would never leave my side

you said you never wanted to see me hurting, does that mean you looked away when i Cryed?

i guess when you said those things you didn't mean them

so i sit here every night wondering why you broke those promises
