Like blood on white roses

by brown eyes and a melancholy smile   Nov 27, 2005

Like blood on white roses

Emptiness fills my days,
Misery reigns, happiness fades,
I search for peace, I only find pain,
I realise that I search in vain.

Love is drowned, hope won't be found,
Beauty broken, Hell's angels awoken,
Like blood on white roses.

Empress of emptiness looks around,
Her soul weeps blood onto the ground,
And spirits of darkness begin to sing,
Once more I withdraw beneath isolations' wings.

Love is drowned, hope can't be found,
Beauty broken, Hell's angels awoken,
Like blood on white roses.

Yet there is some comfort in nothing,
Whilst I glide on frayed wings,
Demons sleep in shadows; wait to pull me down,
My soul sinks in darkness, while I willingly drown.

With hope slain, so ends my pain,
All beauty broken, Hell's angels awoken,
Like blood on white roses.

Thats so vivid and wonderous. Effective use of repitition, beautifully morbid imagery. Great read.
