The Game

by Heather L.   Nov 27, 2005

As I lie awake I begin to wonder what it would be like to have one moment of peace. One second of silence from my circling thoughts. But no! There is no peace no silence; only thoughts only memories. The horror of my shattered dreams and my lost hopes.; I use to dream of being happy but then reality set in and I learned that dreams are for silly kids with nothing better to do. Hope is for those people that donâ??t know any better; those who are not ready for reality. Well let me tell you I have no more hopes and all my dreaming is done. All those wasted years I spent dreaming my life away and what did it get me? Nothing! Disappointment and regret is the name of the game and if youâ??re not willing to play by the rules you must be prepared to face the consequences. There is no mercy there
is no forgiveness. Now if you are thinking this game sounds fair, you are wrong. The rules are bias and the punishments unjust. Its every man for himself and donâ??t let any man fool you into believing differently. You may start out thinking that the game is easy and you will have no trouble winning but, this simply is not so. There are no winners it is merely too difficult. Thereâ??s no way of knowing what path you must follow or what cards you will draw. You may be given the opportunity to pass occasionally in this game but that is a choice only you can make. There is no way to prepare you for the game for it changes with each new player. So all I can say is do your best to endure though the end will never be reached. Forget all the dreams and hopes you have it will make it easier on your heart. Remember to keep your head about you; you donâ??t want to be thought a fool. And in closing I
feel it is my responsibility to tell you that this is not for the weak of heart nor mind it is only for the strong, only for the willing, only for the stubborn.

A girl i don't what or who hurt u to make you feel like dreaming and hoping are things we need not do in life, i've felt that way a couple of times, but u lose the game when u think like that, for the "game" is a state of mind, i hope to read a poem that u write where u reveal ur new discoveries of viewing the game....peaches
