It Is Not What It Seems

by Michelle   Nov 27, 2005

If you cry, you prove you're brave
The leader is their personal slave
To fall is really to succeed
And when you cut, you do not bleed
Pain medications make it worse
My lucky charm becomes my curse
Flowers die before they bloom
An open space is now my tomb
When I'm alone, I'm claustrophobic
My perfect dreams are catastrophic
He's best at what he cannot do
What he does, he has no clue
Confused at the perfect explanation
Made, but he's his own creation
An idyllic couple, we don't match
Threw him back, but he's best catch
Hate him when I need him most
He brags of me, but hates to boast
He's there for me when I'm alone
He is my skin, also my bone
Writes poems to me with no words
Can somehow make a half in thirds
Finds perfect words by being silent
Is loving even when he's violent
Awesome though he's plain to see
I love him when he's loving me.
