So only I would hurt....

This is my first poem here..... So here goes nothin'.....

I wish one day,
For just one day.
I could take it all.
All the hurt,
All the pain.

So I wouldn't see any tears,
Or hurt in anyone else's eyes,
So, no one would feel any pain,
No one would hurt for 24 hours.
No one except for me.

For if my tears could stop it all,
If tears could heal hurt,
And mend broken hearts,
Or calm raging, troubled seas,
I would cry for a lifetime.

If I could take on everything for others,
It would be completely unbearable,
But my compassion flows endlessly,
My love, runs over like water in a cup,
I long for a place where I can sing and dance,
In open air where no one can touch me.

I have compassion for people that even I don't fully comprehend sometimes......
