Apocalypse Now, Please...

I wake up in my house, there is not one sound
I rub my blurry eyes, sit up and look around

My roof has gone and Im covered in dust
I look to my brothers bed and squeal in disgust

Hes laying there dead, In his bed sheet covers
I go downstairs, to see what else i can discover

My family, gone, they were killed somehow
And so is all my town, its apocalypse now

I walk out the front door, take a look down the street
Debris everywhere, and dust covering my feet

Buildings knocked down, some torn in half
But I do not cry, for some reason I laugh

I walk down the road, veering around the dead
Theres a sea of deceased, for miles up ahead

Shop windows smashed, and cars upturned
Well whoever sinned, this is their lesson learned

Above me the clouds, are dull and grey
As it starts to rain hard, on this perfect day

I climb atop a car, and open my arms wide
Looking up into the rain, knowing this is worldwide

I shout out loud, not a word just a noise
And look to my left, where the church has been destroyed

Im in this place, this garden of destruction
And I wonder who, could have given the instruction

To do this all, was it nature herself?
Or was it us, was it war, that destroyed ourselves

Millions dead, her mother and her son
But nope not me, I am the only one

I can frolic and play, in the devils back yard
Knowing I survived the end, without a single scar

Thousands deceased, bride and groom
