When I Count to Ten You're Still Not Here

by Brook   Nov 29, 2005

One tear is for the last time I'll cry
over you.
Two is the girl who always thought you'd stay true.

Three is for the year I thought you were my one and only.
four is for the times you left me nothing but lonely.

Five tears is for the day I had to walk away.
Six is for having the courage not to stay.

Seven is for the nights I was yours for the taking.
Eight is for the times my heart was left breaking.

Nine is for the life I wish I could erase.
Ten is for the memories I can't ever replace.

A tear for every time you let me down that year.
When I close my eyes and count to ten why do I wish you were still here.
