Realizing the Truth

by ~DyingBlackRose~   Nov 30, 2005

She was standing at the front door
Remembering the pain
Picturing him yelling at her
Hitting her until she finally fell and hit the floor crying
Every time she tried to get up
He pushed her back down only to kick her
She tried to yell for help
But realized that she was weak
And one more hit would kill her
She layed there
Watching him looking down at her body
All curled up, covered in blood
And surrounded by her own blood
Tears stained her face
Only to make the blood more visible as it drop by drop hit the floor
He forcefully picked her weak, bloody, and tangled body off the floor
Pushed her against the wall
He pulled her close to his strong, athletic body
He whispered in her ear "After everything I put you through, I love you"
She for once pushed him away and with all the strength she had left punched him
He fell to his knees for a second
She looked down at him and said, "get out, never ever come back"
He went to hit her once more
But he finally seen the pain and tears form in her eyes
He gathered his stuff, kissed her on the lips one last time
And left

All she could do after he left was stand at the door
Hoping, praying
That one day he would come back to her
To say he was sorry
But she knew deep inside her heart
He would never change
He would always be that way
The pain would still be there
The lies would still form in his mind and then come out
So she gave in and realized that she can live without him
