Chosen One

by k i k i   Dec 1, 2005

Alone I'm left to face the consequences,
From what you did before.
Carved out everything I was,
Made a new person, unknown.
Under the radar, they can't find evidence,
To why it was me that you chose.

Light dimming and flicking unexpected,
The night was so cold and lonely.
Cut me at the throat and chest,
Swabbed at the saliva that fell.
Bullet to one eye, I can still remember,
The picture is so faint, dark and different.

Held up by you, strong as ever,
I thought you were the right one.
Chosen for the being inside,
Not the out, where I had been once judged.
Scrapped off the old me,
And painted a new coat of colour.

Covering of defences,
I was growing weaker.
Too much loss of blood, other elements,
That I had relied on before.
No air, no love,
There's nothing left now you're gone.
