A mother's memory

by xXsebastianXx   Dec 1, 2005

So long ago,
when i first held you,
I couldn't wait to learn
all about you.
It was a delightful challenge trying
to protect you
as you crawled everywhere on you little
hands and knees.
As you began to walk and talk
I really had to hurry to keep
with you,
as you toddled around looking at the world for the
very first time.
Then how you grew!
It seemed like every time
I turned around you'd gotten taller.
Be for I knew it you'd grown into the
beautiful intelligent woman
you are now.
And what a joy it was when we
started becoming like friends.
The day arrived for you
to move out on your own and
I realized I couldn't hold on to
you forever.
But, you'll always be the same
little girl
who stole my heart and kept it
not so long ago.
Love, mom
