If I were..

by Rachel   Dec 2, 2005

If I were a cook I'd forget my timer
If I were a business man I'd miss my train
If I were a child I'd never grow up
And if I were dry, I'd dance in the rain

If I were your friend I'd be so forever
If I were an hour I'd never end
And if I were a fish I'd swim around that mysterious river bend

If I were a kite I'd float through the sky
If I were a hand I'd never wave goodbye
If I were a face I'd always wear a smile
And if I were your love I'd make it worth your while

If I were a poet I'd write myself a song
If I were a mime I'd always sing along
If I were a house I\'d never close my door
And if I were a rich man, I'd give my money to the poor

If I were happiness I'd give myself to the world
If I were a boy, I'd wish to be a girl
If I were a gun I'd shoot myself a part
And if I were a memory I'd stay forever in your heart
