Your Fault

by Ladida   Dec 4, 2005

A forgotten flaw left in the salty rain
A mismatch for your lifestyle
The song was sung wrong
One note was misplaced
So you crumpled up what you had composed
And you threw it away

Teen tiny thoughts and tainted memories
Visions blurred and a voice unheard
In a forest of identical trees
Some rotten, some old
But all guarding a child's soul

Tiny footsteps never crossed your mind
Your mistake pushed aside
Little cries for help that you couldn't hear
A lifelong grudge created now
A beautiful strong white wall erected
Only to be vandalized by teeny tiny memories

Blinding yourself, you walked away
Leaving behind the mistakes you made
Rub your eyes, blink, and see clear
Can't you see daddy?
I'm still waiting here!!!
