Stuck In Protest

by Biscuit   Dec 8, 2005

Is there no conscience in this world?
No difference between right and wrong?
Is the grey between the black and white
Too big to overcome?
Just because of terrorists
We try to bomb the world
Revenge is sweet, but cant there be peace
Without having tempers unfurled?

All the protestors in the world;
All those who oppose war,
Are trying to stop a major crisis
But what is it all for?
Our country is a democracy
It's speaking and being heard
Saddam is just a dictator
It's him against the rest of the world

    Heh - I hope your teacher was as shocked as I was . . .your words are straight to the point and honest. Completely blunt - it works! War is blunt too - blunter even than this poem about war - which is powerful because of the bluntness of it. Which leads me around in a giant never ending circle. Excellently written.

    Peace. [Sole]
