Mirror

by Raychel   Dec 9, 2005

I see the face that I call mine,
I see every little imperfection,
I see the only thing that stands between you and me.
All of those mistakes,
Every scar, every blemish,
The eyes that are too far apart,
The jaw line that is too visible.
The lips that are too thin.
The pudgy cheeks that make my face so uneven.
But my dear, what the mirror tells me is only skin deep.
You need to need to see more.

Very interesting poem...Why do you write poems about imperfection?Yes it's bad to be perfect cause it would be boring after awhile and yes, things like that should be seen underneath...but I noticed you keep writing about that and I was just wondering...well lataz
