Max

by Joy Coleman   Dec 9, 2005

*My dog was just reccently shot and killed by a hunter so I wrote a poem for my little Max*

You were the only one that listened to me 100%
The only one that knew what all those crazy lame jokes I said meant
I loved that warm feeling when you would cuddle next to me in bed
And it was like you always knew the thoughts going threw my head
I always loved those big sloppy kisses you would give me
And how we would never disagree
You were my medicine when I had a cold
Your heart was made out of the purest gold
But now your gone, my dearest friend
It's going to take some time for this broken heart to mend
To me you never were just a pet
You are the one I'll never forget
Max, I love you and miss you
You'll always bee my Maxie Poo
Till the day we meet in heaven
Good bye, my best friend
