Therapy sessions

Acting out of character
can this really be me?
feeling so out of place
I don't want others to see

feeling so lost and lonely
black and empty inside
isolating myself from the issues
I face, I try to hide

pouring out my heart and soul
dredging up old ghosts
past or present
I can't decide what hurts the most

emptying my mind
behind closed doors
received by a sympathetic smile
my messed up life is strewn across the floor
