Don't cry anymore

by CHOKE   Dec 13, 2005

They say they care,
but the truth is, they're never there.
They say they love you,
but after awhile they're through.
They judge you and call you names,
They laugh at you as if this is all a game.
They never understand,
they just pretend to be your friend.
You have no one else, so like a fool, you take their hand,
in the end you can only sit, not stand.
They push you until you fall,
yet you still pick up the phone every time they call.
They talk about you behind your back,
you cry, because a high self-esteem is what you lack.
You go home and cry yourself to sleep,
you've gotten yourself in too deep.
Now you hurt yourself,
you have no one else.
In the mirror you hate what you see,
because in their words, you believe.
Why do you take the pain?
It only drives you insane!
No, stop thinking that,
you will get your life back.
You should lift yourself up off the floor,
open that closed door.
Don't listen to them, you only need yourself,
nobody else.
Don't cry anymore,
you have a life worth living for.
