Say something

by Just Sierra   Dec 13, 2005

I know I should've said something
By the gleaming look in your eyes.
Another letdown in one day
And another person who cries.

I'm so sorry I disappointed you
I couldn't find the words to say
My legs got so weak so suddenly
And my voice just slipped away

Now you walk out of my life
Without a farewell glance
My heart beats louder than my voice
I'll never get a second chance.

You'll never look at me the same;
My eyes are all but bloodstained.
Will you ever look my way again
And will I ever be unchained??

Too late to say what should've been said,
But in my heart the words scream true.
I couldn't say it before, but i'll say it now,
I'm so deathly in love with you.

Great work ! 5/5 I could feel with the situation and its emotions you described so heartrendingly in this poem that I remembered the time I used to feel the same and it astonished me how deep your writing touched me . I suppose that's a pretty good sign .

    Keep up your great work
Please, comment back, that would mean a lot to me
