Playing Pretend

by Ashelin   Dec 13, 2005

Breeze through the trees
Whisper of the wind
Scent of air sweet
A game of pretend

Playing all day
In warm summers light
Laughing and calling out
With friends, tis a delight

Playing pretend
As unicorns and dragons
Cops and robbers
As Spacemen and Aliens

Those were the days
Of innocence and bliss
Of pretending and racing
Oh how I reminisce

Oh thank you! It was inspired by listening to some little kids play...I was outside and the neighbor kids were playing tag.
