Spread your wings

by Alex   Dec 13, 2005

Spread your wings
Fly up high
Stretch your arm
Touch the sky
Today you were hung
But you didn't die

Your heart may sore
But it is something to endure
Whilst you lay without moving
The breeze upon your grave may be soothing
But thou shall never die again
You must be thankful for this gift
Even though this was not your wish
It is something you needed
Something that fit

Tears fall from the sky
Washing away the loam
Every last morsel
That is your home

A tear is what you wish to cry
You have lost everything
Your grave is now empty
Except that skeleton
It just sits there
Yes...
It deserves not to have a name
Wasn't that you, though?
Do you have nothing to say?
Maybe you should tell yourself
To tell the rapist to stay away

The tears that fall from the sky
Those are what you tear
Now that you've died
A pleasant feeling though
Even if you cannot feel it
The pain is no more
The happiness you have received
You can do not a single more wrong
Now that you are relieved and stress free
Your life can go on
