Caped Shadow

by Ashelin   Dec 14, 2005

A dark caped shadow
Doth creep the streets
Like branches of a willow
Stretching out far

Twas a foggy winters day
When the shadow first emerged
It did not have long to stay
As it moved among leaves

A slow creeping melody
Soft and full of longing
Like a wolf of loyalty
It accompanies the shadow

Unmoved by the cold breeze
Is the master of the shadow
She commands it with ease
When she wants to

The master was thinking deep
Forgetting her shadow
Looking for inspiration to seep
She moved on down the road

The shadow was offended
When it was ignored
Her thoughts it apprehended
As it caught her attention

And this poem was born.
