I've been holding it in so long,
that my heart screams your name.
especially when you're gone,
my head lays low in shame.

Lately I've been rather shy,
when it comes to being with you.
But life is passing me by,
and I've got to do what I've got to do.

Before i said i didn't want a boyfriend,
because i didn't want to get hurt once more.
But my heart's aching again,
i want you, you're the one i adore.

I don't care what anyone has to say,
I'm letting out my feelings.
Even if things go the wrong way,
I'm going to tell you everything.

It hurts to tell you what i feel inside,
but you really, really need to know.
I'm going to tell you everything I've denied,
so hold on tight cuz here it goes....

Every night i pick up the phone,
gathering courage to call you.
I hate to be alone,
especially after all I've been through.

When the sky turns dark,
and I'm falling a sleep.
For you i wish upon a star,
and pray my soul to keep.

I dream of your face,
your smile and laugh.
In my heart you have a place,
even if you don't give it all you have.

I try to talk to you,
as school goes on.
But i don't know what to do,
i freeze and wish i was gone.

I see you being happy,

and for us to never part.

As i return home day after day,
Not talking to you is all i regret.
I wish i could find some way,
to keep you from leaving just yet.

I've retrieved all my strength,
Built up my hope and pride.
And now your reading this,
and you know all i feel inside.

No matter what it takes,
I will get to your heart.
No matter the risk i have to make,
It doesn't even matter how hard.

As I'm writing each letter down,
My stomach is filled with butterflies.
But now i need not to wear a frown.
Now that you know all of my feelings,
i no longer have a reason to need to hide.

You don't know what all this has put me through,
I mean telling you i want us to be.
But now that you know i do love you,
the last thing to know is do you even like me?
