I Swear I Need You Now!

by The Depression Bard   Dec 16, 2005

Is it still my heart the helps the beating,
Or is that you that forces harsh retreating?
Now my soul mourns needing, needing,
And my wounds continue bleeding.
As the darkness envelops faster,
It's this pain I've learned to master.
Until I hold you in my arms once more,
Until I hold you in my arms once more,
Until I hold you in my arms once more,
I'll embrace the horror that I know's in store.
So now can I learn to love you?
Or does what I've learned to fear show true?
I swear I need you now!
Oh yes, I swear I need you now!
Oh yes, I swear, I swear, I swear I need you now!
Yet it seems this is what you won't allow.
And I'll ponder in this house tonight,
Attempting to release my fright,
But it seems there will be no end in sight,
And, I know it's you who holds the light.
As it's you that holds my freedom,
It's you I need to be free from,
Repeating as I attempt to close this door:
"Until I hold you in my arms once more!
Until I hold you in my arms once more!
Until I hold you in my arms once more!"
