Bath Time Bubbles

by Ashleigh Skye   Dec 16, 2005

Bath time bubbles,
pop, pop, pop,
with bath time bubbles,
the fun won't stop.

Bath time bubbles,
some big and some small,
bath time bubbles,
I love them all.

Bath time bubbles,
the scent of soap in the air,
overflowing the tub,
but hey I don't care.

The adventures I go on,
depends on the bubbles I get,
I went swimming with the mermaids,
and flew through the clouds on my jet.

I became a sea queen,
who ruled the ocean's tide,
in charge of every bubble,
every fish and where they reside.

I became a professional pilot,
navigating through the clouds,
I even became a rock star once,
belting it out to the crowds.

My hands have turned to prunes,
bath time bubbles still everywhere,
some of them on the floor,
and a pile of them in my hair.

Mom peaks her head in,
to make sure I haven't drowned,
hiding beneath the bubbles,
I do not make a sound.

I hear her call my name,
and I jump out of the soap,
she covers me in a towel,
but with the bubbles now gone I mope.

She promises me that later,
there will be more bubbles than before,
but only if I eat my dinner,
can I search the ocean floor.

So as I run down to super,
I think of all the new adventures I will face,
when I run back to that bubble filled tub,
my truly favorite place.
