Heaving and writhing and preparing to swallow

by Forsaken Redeemer   Dec 16, 2005

Happiness, my foolish friend,
Here today, gone tomorrow,
Leaving you lost in your own thoughts and hate,
Wrapped forever in sorrow.
A momentary spark of joy and normality,
A light lit inside your heart,
But it only makes it seem darker when it's taken away,
Leaving you cold, alone, and torn apart.
A beautiful beast, ruined and killed,
Lying forever alone and broken,
Ripped up and lost to the savages,
Body and mind both slashed wide open.
Innocence stolen and taken away,
Never to see the world as she did,
Always regretting when she simply gave up,
Saved herself, ran away and hid.
Her eyes no longer twinkle,
They've lost their twinkle and shine,
But none will ever understand her thoughts,
So she'll simply smile and reply that she's fine.
She doesn'?t think about what she says,
She no longer thinks about the lie,
For if she answered if she's okay truthfully,
Her one last hope of this world would run dry.
So her unique beauty from this world will disappear,
Leaving her empty, alone, and hollow,
For she can't feel anything else while standing on the brink of this blackness,
Heaving and writhing and preparing to swallow.
