My prayer

Dear lord please hear my prayer
For this life I can no longer endure
I hid all my pain on the inside
No one understands why last night I cried
They are better off without me
Ask anyone and they will agree
So take my life, end it fast
Soon I'll be a memory of the past

Please understand my friend
That now my funeral you must attend
I remember long ago you truly cared
All the happy memories we shared
I wish I could have all that back
Because without you there my life is black
So please don't mourn my death
Just know that willingly I took my last breath

To my family now I am gone
You should have known something was wrong
Mom please know I loved you
Dad trust me I loved you too
To my sister the one that cared
I'm sorry I broke the bond we shared
To my other sister the one left in the dark
I know on this family I left my mark

Maybe one day you'll realize my pain
Till then I'm the one to blame
Please at my funeral play my song
The one that for seventeen years kept me strong
And when you get up there to speak
Do not cry because you are far from weak
Just remind them all of the smile
That hid it all...
