Seasons..

by Phoebe   Dec 17, 2005

I can taste the berries of summer
On the wind, caressing my cheek,
How I long to see the sun again,
Shining brightly in the summer sky
As I sit beneath the clouds of gray
Watching the birds as they fly.

I'd walk down to the edge of the lake,
See the sunset reflecting off the ripples,
As the rain falls softly from heaven,
Bathing the leaves of orange and brown,
Blanketing the mossy ground beneath me,
As rays of sun shine bright upon the town.

Kick my way through the snow-covered roads,
Slipping on the ice as it starts to melt,
Beautiful sunlight shining upon the bare trees,
My winter wonderland, where I spend all day,
Making snow angels and snowmen,
That will remain as memories in my mind to stay.

New year has passed and Spring has begun,
Deer running in fields of growing flowers,
As the bare trees start to blossom with life,
Rainbows, rivers, valleys, hills and things,
As the sun smiles upon the changing world,
Seeing how much fun having seasons brings.
