What you did for me

by RB   Dec 18, 2005

We became good friends,
And ended up as much more,
I never knew when I met you,
What our future had in store.

You became my best friend, my sister, my family,
You became the strength I needed to hold on.
You became the person who knew,
Just what I held inside all along.

You became the one who knew all my deep, dark, secrets,
And never in my life did I guess,
That you'd be the one sitting next to me,
While I lay in my hospital dress.

Sitting by my side,
That's where you are,
You are always here,
Never far.

You are more than just my friend,
You are more than words can describe,
You are the one who kept me living,
You are the only one who would know the true reason to why I died.

So don't suffer and grieve,
For it is my time to go,
Yet my love for all you did,
Will always be here to show.

You will never know,
Just how much you did for me,
I thought I was going to die,
But you saved me.

Thank you, is not enough to give,
So I give you all the love I could ever hold,
So go on for me,
And live your life so bold.

So As I leave this earth,
I will watch through your eyes.
The morning sun,
And the beautiful colors of the sunrise.
