The edge

by alwaysremeniceus   Dec 18, 2005

We always walked close to the line,
the one between happiness and pain,
lately we've walked too close since nothing is fine,
we both end up depressed once again.

you wanted things to end,
wanted to numb the pain with more pain,
did you remember how it all began?
why are you doing this, you think it will help you gain?

the dangers of this edge,
too thin, too easy to fall off,
what about over there, whats behind that hedge?
but i won't ever, no never, let you alone to face the drop.

if you really choose to suicide.
let go of the great life you have ahead,
my fate too, you will decide,
cause if you die, i will be lying beside you in our death bed.

I can relate to this poem, well at one point in time. A very sad poem, and the ending just made me frown :(
    Good job though.
