Pain

by Rhinehalt   Dec 19, 2005

For instant of a second.
For a minute of a breath.
For a day without life.
I saw what it would be like
If you walked out of my life.

You make a part of me.
A part you cannot see.
And for a piece of my years
I almost broke out in tears.

The thought was hard.
The pain was great.
The thought of you gone
Never left my head.

You wrote it in a letter
And sent it by e-mail.
You couldn't say to my face.
Enstead you chose the chase.

But I didn't chase after.
No, not this time.

I kept my hurt
And waited for you.
You came as I knew you would.
We made up.
We started again.

But this time around
The turst has to be worked for.
Cause for a day
You gave a greatest of pains.

So, my friend,
You have to learn,
The pain goes two ways,
Just not one.

**Yeah, for a friend of mine who broke her trust with me. Any comment would be nice.

Oh. My. Gosh. That's all I have to say. It's so touching, and it makes you think.

Great poem, sad, and I know how it feels and the thing about trust is so true
