One Man's View of an Angel

by A Former Outcast   Dec 19, 2005

Life is looking down
On my face is a frown
Only one person has ever been there
Only one person who will let me share

This person is an amazing spectacle
This person is a walking miracle
This person knows how to help me out
This person loves me even when I pout.

This person helped me through the years
This person reached out and dried my tears
This person gave me her heart on a little plate
Leaving me to decide what would be her fate.

She would be the one to cry at my grave.
She would be the one whose soul I would save.
She would be the one to keep me alive
Just by singing and dancing a little jive.

She sacrifices everything for me
She presents me for all to see
How much she loves the person I am
And for her hate is a sad sham.

When she dies, I will be there
So that we can once more share
In the end, things will all work out
I love you mom, without a doubt.

((Just a small update, a recent turn of events has changed this view of my mother greatly. I don't believe how I could have ever written this. Therefore, it is simply a symbolic poem. Thank you very much for actually reading the footnote.))
