Alone on Christmas

by KiMMiE*RiE*   Dec 20, 2005

Season of joy?
I say season of hate
especially when
I don*t have a date
No one to cuddle
no one to kiss
no one to love
no one to miss
I*ll be alone on Christmas
if anyone cares
Alone on a holiday
everyone shares
Mistletoe
is of no use to me
The only great thing
is my Christmas tree
decorated
with glass ribbon and lace
I*m alone once again
I want out of this place
I want to walk
about in the snow
build a snow man
have places to go
Sadly I don*t
I*ll just be a Scrooge
I*ll sit inside
and be in a mood
Then Santa will come
and leave me a gift
a gift of great thought
that gives my spirit a lift
It happens to be you
in a big bow..
the first thing you say
"Lets go out in the Snow"
Santa must read
all the wish lists
because my wish was granted
I*m not alone on Christmas
