Nothing Ever Happens (the way that i want it to)

Holding this tight in the palm of my hand,
Will you ever really understand?
And I'm gripping so tightly
That I cant let go,
Willing with my whole body
That when I stop this you'll know.
Cause I'm pretending its real,
I'm pretending your mine,
I'm pretending you're here,
I'm pretending I'm fine.
But I know it's not real when I open my eyes,
Cause you are not here and it all is just lies.
Cause these are my hopes and my dreams to come true,
But nothing ever happens the way that I want it to.
No nothing ever happens, the way that i want it to.
