i feel that i have tried,
but i know I'm of no use.
i spose I'd be the same,
if I'd suffered so much abuse.

there'll always be a better friend,
than ordinary, usual me.
i know that I'm repetitive,
and that the light's what you can't see.

i wish that you could hear me,
when i cry for you at night.
i wish you knew i was on your side,
wish that you had just a little more fight.

yet i know that I'm just dreaming,
when i see a smile on your face.
coz your words explain everything,
and those expressions refuse to erase.

I'm sorry that I'm not better,
sorry i can't make you smile.
but know that I'm still here,
and that to me, your life is worthwhile.
